Is there a difference between a Standard and a Queen sized pillow?

A king size is generally about 4-6 inches longer than a queen size, though exact measurements can vary by manufacturer.
Do I need a pillow protector?

Beautyrest Black:
The cover of the pillow can be removed and washed on a cold gentle cycle, with like colors. Use only non-chlorine bleach as needed. Tumble dry low heat until thoroughly dry. Do not iron.

The pillow itself is not machine washable but can be spot cleaned as necessary.

Absolute Relaxation:
The pillow has a machine-washable cover that can be taken off for cleaning.

The pillow itself should only be spot cleaned with mild soap and water.

Deluxe Down:

Machine-wash cold, gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low. Do not iron

How often should I replace my pillow I sleep on?

It is recommended that you replace your pillow every one to three years.  Depending on the type of pillow you have, you may need to replace it more or less often.

The best way to decide if it is time for a new pillow is to determine if it's still doing its job. The pillow should support your head and neck. If you start layering different pillows or notice the pillow is not doing the job it was intended to do, it may be time to look for a new one!
